Londres est sans contredit la ville où se tournent tous les regards lorsqu’il est question de chapeaux. Car dans la capitale du Royaume-Uni, le chapeau est roi, pour ne pas dire le chapeau est reine !
Londres est aussi la ville où s’activent les plus talentueux créateurs de chapeaux : Stephen Jones et Philip Treacy en sont les stars incontestées.
C’est aussi là que se tient tous les dix-huit mois le London Hat Week, un événement qui célèbre l’art du chapeau… Et pour célébrer, ils célèbrent les Londoniens !
Du 6 au12 octobre, les passionnés de mode et d’histoire seront comblés.
Parmi les activités à l’horaire : divers ateliers avec les meilleures modistes de la ville, un trajet permettant de visiter des fournisseurs, de même qu’un atelier de conseils sur la mise en marché. Les créatifs seront donc bien servis.
Quant aux autres passionnés de chapeaux, ils se promèneront chapeautés dans les rues de Londres ; ils assisteront à une entrevue-rencontre avec Stephen Jones ; prendront le thé au Mad Milliners’ Tea Party et visiteront les expositions.
L’exposition International Hat Designer présentera du 9 au 11 octobre, les créations de modistes originaires de seize pays et j’ai le plaisir d’en faire partie. Deux chapeaux de ma collection Rouge Opéra y seront exposés : Carmen et Violetta. Si je vous disais que ça me fait un petit velours !

London is without a doubt the city where everybody looks when we talk hats. That’s because in the UK capital, the hat reigns supreme or in other words, the hat is queen!
London is also the city where you can find most of the talented hat creators: Stephen Jones and Philip Treacy are the most famous stars of the domain.
It is also there that every eighteen months is held the London Hat Week, an event to celebrate the art of millinery… And when it’s time to celebrate, they know how to celebrate these Londoners!
From October 6 to 12, 2016, the fashion and history aficionados will be fulfilled.
Among the activities, they will find: various workshops with the best milliners of the city, a circuit allowing them to visit suppliers and a workshop giving advices on marketing. Creative spirits will be well served.
As for the other hat buffs, they can walk around wearing hats in the London streets; they will attend an interview/meeting with Stephen Jones; have tea at the Mad Milliners’ Tea Party and will visit exhibitions.
The International Hat Designer Exhibition will present from October 9 to 11, creations of milliners coming from sixteen different countries and I have the pleasure to be one of these. Two hats from my collection Rouge Opéra will be exhibited: Carmen and Violetta. Do I have to tell you how flattered I am by this honour!
